The Sacramento Mineral Society (SMS) was organized in 1936 to promote the study of mineralogy and lapidary arts and crafts as well as other geologic sciences. To this end we conduct a variety of activities such as educational presentations in our monthly meetings, field trips, and a club house / lapidary shop run by our members. Our annual Gem & Jewelry Show attracts vendors from all over the western United States. We also award geological scholarships each year to individuals from local colleges. Read more About Us...
