2023-2024 Sacramento Mineral Society Scholarship
The Sacramento Mineral Society (SMS), a nonprofit organization, announces one $250 scholarship:
the SMS Scholarship for the academic year 2023/2024.
Applicants must be a college or high school student and interested in pursuing a career in the earth science field.
| Applicants must meet the following general criteria: |
| • Open to students who are studying Geology, Earth Science or a related subject. • Must be a college or high school student. • Must provide an official transcript and proof of current enrollment. • Cannot have received a SMS scholarship within the last two years. |
The scholarship is endowed, and scholarship funds are administered by SMS, a nonprofit organization established in 1936. It is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with tax exempt status.
• The selected candidate must give a 10 to 20-minute presentation mentioning why they chose that career and their future goals.
